What is Amazon Smart Reordering for Canon printers?

How does Amazon Smart Reordering work with my Canon printer?

Ink/toner levels in your eligible connected printers are monitored and are automatically reordered through Amazon before you even know you are running low.

Is Amazon Smart Reordering available on all Canon printers?

No. Available models are listed on the eligible dropdown list. Select models require connection with a supported Amazon Echo device in order to participate. We will guide you through the steps to participate once we understand your product Canon printer product and Amazon Echo device ownership.

How will I be charged if I participate in Amazon Smart Reordering?

You will set up billing with Amazon at the end of the program registration process. Please refer to Amazon’s FAQ for further details.

I don’t feel comfortable participating in smart replenishment at this time. Is there an option available where Amazon could notify me when it is a good time to order replacement ink or toner, and I could make purchases manually?

Depending on your product ownership, yes. Some products do not support this capability at this time. If this option is available, you will have the opportunity to register into notification only mode before taking additional steps to participate in Amazon Smart Reordering. If I choose to participate in notification mode, can I later upgrade to Amazon Smart Reordering?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to modify your preferences at any time.

I’m an Amazon Echo owner. Can I also utilize voice commands with my Canon printer?

Yes, assuming you have a compatible Echo device and a printer that works with Alexa Print. Learn more about voice printing through Alexa here.

How will I know if ink/toner is on the way?

You will receive an order confirmation to the email address registered to your Amazon account.

How do I enroll in Amazon Smart Reordering for my eligible printer?

Start by confirming your model is eligible here, and then you will be guided through the steps to participate.

Why does my printer need to be connected to the Internet?

Your printer must be connected to the Internet for the printer to monitor your ink/toner levels and communicate a signal to reorder.

How does the printer determine when to send a low ink/toner signal?

All eligible printers have a default setting based on remaining ink/toner percentage. The level at which low ink/toner is determined varies based on the specific model.

Can I cancel my ink/toner order at any time?

Can I enroll in more than one ink/toner replenishment program at a time?

No. You will need to deregister your device from any other ink/toner replenishment program.

If my printer requires service, how will this impact my subscription?
