Alexa can help automatically order ink or toner from Amazon before you even know your supplies are running low. By enabling, you'll receive a hands free ordering and delivery process, without the need to run out to a store or manually place an order online.
1
Confirm that both your Canon printer and your Amazon Echo device have been set up, are powered on, and are connected to the same network. Say, "Alexa, discover my printer." Alexa should reply back, "I found Canon xxxxx Series."
Once you hear this, you are connected, and Alexa will let you know when your ink or toner is low. Please proceed to the next step if you would prefer the convenience of Amazon automatically ordering and delivering replacement ink or toner when they are needed on your behalf instead.
2
Go to your Alexa app and navigate to the "Devices" section in the bottom right-hand corner. Click the "All Devices" section, then find and select your printer. From the device's "Settings" page, under the "Status" section, select "Change" next to "Supply."
From here, select "When my supplies are running low" and then select "Smart reorder." Click the "Select" button at the bottom of the screen to finalize setup.
3
Alexa can print a test page, which displays the variety of printable content (i.e. shopping list, Sudoku puzzles, etc...) in Alexa's catalog. Just say, "Alexa, print a test page."
