Steps to Enable Smart Reordering

Your PIXMA printer can detect when you are running low on ink and place an automatic order with Amazon when you are running low, you can save on ink and toner costs in the process. Or if you prefer, Amazon will notify you when it’s a good time to order.

Retrieve registration ID code from your printer

From your printer home screen, navigate the following menu steps:

1. Ensure your printer is connected to a wireless network, then, from your printer home screen...
2. Web Service Setup
3. Web Service Connection
4. Cloud Printing Center Setup
5. Register with this Service
6. Follow Steps to Print Paper containing ID Code

Register your printer with Canon Cloud Printing Service

1. Visit Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center - https://cs.c-ij.com/join
2. Enter your Printer Registration ID Code from prior step
3. Follow on-screen steps to create a Canon account (or log in to existing if previously created)
4. Retrieve email to confirm account creation
5. Complete on-screen steps to finalize account process

Connect your printer to Canon Printer Skill within the Alexa App

Connect your printer to the Canon Printer Skill within the Alexa App

Desktop Instructions

1. Navigate to the Canon Inkjet Printer Skill by clicking here
2. Click the yellow Enable button to complete the account linking flow.

Mobile Instructions

1. Download the Alexa app. Sign in with your Amazon credentials.
2. In the Alexa app, tap the More navigation button in the bottom right-hand corner.
3. On Slide Out Navigation, tap Skills & Games.
4. On the Skills & Games screen, tap the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner.
5. On the Search screen, enter Canon Inkjet Printer to search for the correct skill.
6. On the search results screen, tap the Canon Inkjet Printer.
7. On the Skill detail page, tap the Enable to Use to complete the account linking flow.

Optional: Setup Smart Reordering

After enabling the Canon Skill, go to the Amazon Shopping app and tap the 3-line menu button in the lower right hand corner of the navigation bar.

Under the Programs & Features section, tap Smart Reorder Devices.

Find your Canon printer in the devices list and tap on it. On the Device Settings screen, tap "When my supplies are running low." On the Low Supply Settings screen, tap "Smart Reorder".
